MacKenzie K. McNeil
Associate Attorney
My passion for Family Law began long before I attended law school. My mother owned an egg donation and surrogacy agency, and I had the opportunity to help with the business while watching her work closely with Family Law attorneys to prepare the legal documentation necessary to help families grow. Seeing firsthand the meaningful impact that attorneys have during some of life's most important transitions sparked my interest in Family Law and ultimately led me to pursue a clerkship at a Family Law firm during law school.
I began my legal career working in Family Law in Kentucky, where I developed a strong understanding of Kentucky's domestic relations system. I later transitioned to practicing in Ohio, gaining extensive experience with Ohio's Family Law statutes and procedures. Today, I am licensed to practice in both Ohio and Kentucky, allowing me to assist clients on both sides of the river.
Before law school, I earned a degree in finance, which has proven to be an invaluable asset in my Family Law practice. Many Family Law matters involve complex financial issues, including the valuation and division of assets, income analysis, and support calculations. My financial background allows me to analyze these issues with confidence while helping clients understand the practical and strategic implications of their decisions.
I believe that, whenever possible, Family Law disputes should be resolved through negotiation or mediation rather than litigation. Reaching an amicable resolution can reduce both the emotional and financial strain on families while allowing the parties to maintain greater control over the outcome. At the same time, I recognize that settlement is not always possible. Whether negotiating a favorable agreement or advocating for my clients in the courtroom, I am committed to providing thoughtful guidance, strong advocacy, and practical solutions tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
Outside of the office, I enjoy exploring new restaurants with friends, tackling home improvement projects, and spending time with family and loved ones.
